The Pool of Dreams 3ds max, mental ray June 2007
I wanted to test the Mental Ray's Glass Material so i created this simple scene. I Used a box to "model' the walls and a plane for the water,a combination of noise and wave maps mixed together by max 's mix map were used to create the wave effect. a direct light coming from the window and one a omni light inside lighted the darkness, I enabled global illumination and final gathering with minimum quality settings and pressed the render button. the render lasted for 4 long minutes that revealed the image you see in your screen.
